The FUBA National Basketball League Women, is a semi-professional basketball league in
Uganda. It is composed of 12 teams as of 2024. It was founded in 2004.
The top 8 teams qualify for the play offs culminating in the NBL Women finals.
The top 10 teams include;

1. JKL Lady Dolphins

The JKL Dolphins are a Ugandan professional Basketball team based in Kampala. The
team was founded in 2014. It is owned by Owora “Freedom” Frederick’s.

2. UCU Lady Canons

The UCU Lady Canons are based in Mukono, at Uganda Christian University (UCU), an
institution that is known to have one of the best Basketball programs in Uganda.
The Lady Canons are the record holders of the NBL Women, having the title 8 times.

3. KIU Rangers Basketball

The KIU Rangers are a Basketball team based in Kampala at Kampala International
University (KIU)

4. JT Lady Jaguars

The JT Lady Jaguars was founded in 2021. It is owned by Nyangenya Jeff Teya
Team colours: White, Blue
Head Coach: Ulanga Sudi
There main sponsor is Goldmine finance.

5. KCCA Leopards Basketball Club

This is a women’s basketball team owned by the Kampala City Council Authority.
It has won the NBL Women title for a record 4 times.
Team colours: Yellow, Green

6. Miracle Ravens

Miracle Ravens basketball is a women’s basketball team affiliated to Miracle basketball,
a non profit organisation that uses the game of basketball to positively impact youth in
Uganda.
Team colors: White

7. Magic Stormers Bc

Magic Stormers is a women’s basketball team in Uganda, based in Kampala.
Team Colours: Blue
Head Coach: Omondi John

8. UPDF Lady Tomahawks

This a women’s basketball team owned by the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF)
Team colours: Green, White
Head Coach: Kyambadde Baker

9. A1 Challenge

This a women’s basketball club founded in 1998. It primarily promotes youth
development and imparts life skills to Girls in Uganda.
Team colours: Purple, Blue

10. Nabisunsa Girls Bc

Nabisunsa Girls basketball club is a girls team by one of the most prestigious girls
secondary schools in Uganda, Nabisunsa Girls School.
Team colours: Blue, White
